San Diego based beat musician and Jazz guitarist GO Yama’s debut release with Collective Resonance Mobius Strips, is out officially today, April the 28th 2013. GO Yama puts a playful spin on Hip Hop and Electro in our time. Fusing Trip Hop beats from artists like Flying Lotus, with the pull of live instruments and looping, GO YAMA creates an interesting and colourful genre blend of Trip Hop, Indie and Jazz.
Since releasing some of the tracks that are going to be on Mobius Strips via our Bandcamp and Soundcloud pages, they have received a lot of praise and attention from various music focused blogs and websites. They have also enjoyed some airplay from BBC Radio (Introducing Norfolk Show) as well as from Subcity Radio (Glasgow University Station), Future Radio (UK based), ByteFM (German station), WRIR (US based) and KSJS (San Jose State University station) to name a few.
The limited edition cassettes have almost sold out during pre-order, so we are thinking of possibly getting some more pressed if the demand is there. Aside from Mobius Strips, we also have an axion117 & GO Yama collaborative project to look forward to later on this year.
